Our Mission

Our Vision
To develop positive role models in communities in a manner that is fun and challenging |
Who We Are
L.A.C.E.S. is a small dynamic team that is commited to being a voice for children around the world. We believe children are the key to positively changing local communities and nations.
We believe one sustainable way of accomplishing this is by empowering local leadership to be a living example to the children in their own communities. L.A.C.E.S. carries out this philosphy by selecting and training volunteer coaches who live directly in the areas where the leagues operate. This encourages positive role modeling and mutual accountability within their communities.

Her Story...
Seren Frost is an Athletic trainer by trade, and graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. After working in her field for 4 years, Seren’s heart changed and she had a desire to learn more about Christ, and to express her faith through action. In 2006 she left the lake front of Chicago for the shores of Liberia, West Africa to live in a 10x10 room with 3 other girls for 6 months aboard a floating hospital ship.
While serving and living aboard the Mercy Ship Seren was given the opportunity to step off the ship and onto the land where her life was changed forever. While playing a pick-up soccer game Seren was randomly recruited by the local professional women’s soccer team, Pro Anchor, to play in their Professional Women’s Soccer Division. Seren’s knowledge of Liberia started with statistics and stories of faraway children growing up in the midst of civil war. Those nameless faces are now gone, replaced by the faces of friends and former teammates. Reflecting back on this experience, Seren has realized that through soccer God planted seeds in her heart that did not stop when she left Africa. After a year of praying, planning, and preparing, Seren founded L.A.C.E.S. and in August of 2007 what was an inspired idea become a reality and Seren finally returning back to Liberia with a plan to use sports as a tool for developing youth.
With a resume ranging from working as an athletic trainer for a Big Ten University to starting a non-profit in West Africa she finds passion in her daily life serving Christ. You will find Seren often saying “people talk about wanting to live out their passion and I am so blessed to be able to wake up every morning and do that by serving the people who have inspired my life.”
